It's time for something old

We've been anaesthetised by social slop.

Doomscrolling our feeds full of hollow platitudes, a like on a holiday snap, a pang of envy for the new job of someone we barely know. Our connections don't deliver true connection.

Meanwhile our real friendships are weakening. Rather than bother someone who truly matters to us, we reach for the lazy dopamine of everyone's news.

In a world where we can know everyone, we're lonelier than we have ever been.

Fifty years ago we'd have had fewer, but deeper relationships. As young children today we still do. The 5-25 family and friends who really matter to our happiness and livelihood.

As we get older those close bonds become strained. By new cities, new relationships, new family members. Work, sleep, scroll, repeat.

It doesn't have to be this way.

We say bring back the penpal, the (postal) mailing list, the moment spent thinking about, checking in on, doing something for someone you love.

Acts of service that bring true joy.

That's what Bub is for. Simple ways to encourage thought, keep in touch and celebrate our most precious relationships.

You'll find no self promotion here. The only things you can do on Bub are for others. By giving, you will receive. A quick hello, a birthday wish, an old memory re-remembered. Strengthening your most meaningful relationships.

So what is Bub?

Bub helps you show up for those people who matter.

It's not another social feed — there's no posturing, no chasing likes.

You just drop little messages, photos, or videos for your friends, and Bub holds onto them until the right moment: their birthday, an anniversary, Christmas morning. Boom, surprise reel of love (or chaos, depending on your family and friends).

You can team up for group messages, chip in for gifts, or send a proper card if you want to go old-school.

Everything on Bub is for someone else. No followers, no filters, just genuine moments between the people you actually care about.

Because being the friend who remembers?

That's the good stuff.

Coming soon...
